About MAT 2025 May Exam

MAT 2025 exam will be conducted on May 31, 2025 and June 8, 2025 for Paper Based Test (PBT) and Computer Based Test (CBT) modes respectively. MAT 2025 registrations are ongoing. The last date to fill MAT 2025 application form is May 25, 2025 and June 2, 2025 for PBT and CBT modes respectively. Interested candidates also pay the MAT registration fee for the exam. The MAT 2025 application fee for PBT and CBT exam is INR 2200. In case of applying for both the modes, the total MAT registration fee will be INR 3800.

What is MAT Exam?

Management Aptitude Test, also known as MAT exam, is one of the most popular MBA entrance examinations conducted across the country. It is a national level exam conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA). More than 800 B-schools accept MAT exam score for admission to MBA/PGDM programs. MAT Exam takes place in four sessions i.e. February, May, September, and December. Students can register for any of the sessions. (MAT exam is conducted in four sessions namely February, May, September, and December).

There are two modes of MAT exam i.e. Offline (Paper Based Test or PBT) and Online (Computer Based Test or CBT). Candidates who are willing to take the exam can choose the exam mode as per their convenience.

MAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria

MAT 2025 eligibility requirements must be met by candidates before completing the application form.

  • Education Requirement: the educational qualification for the various PG courses are given by the exam conducting body for the candidates to satisfy. The candidates must meet all the requirements to attend the entrance exam. Below the list if available to check the eligibility of educational qualification.

MBA / PGDM Candidates must have completed a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized institute or university.

Candidates appearing in the final year examination or awaiting results for their bachelor’s degree are also eligible to appear for the MAT 2025 exam.

  • Aggregate marks: the aggregate marks of the qualifying exam are set by the exam conducting body. Aggregate marks for the MAT exam 2025 is listed below.
Programs Qualifying Exams
MBA / PGDM Candidates must have at least 50% marks in their bachelor’s degree.

Candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC, ST, and PwD) need a minimum of 45% aggregate or equivalent in their bachelor’s degree.

  • Marks: There won’t be a minimum score needed to take the MAT. Those who meet the passing requirements can register for the test.
  • Age Restrictions: There are no upper age limits for applying for admission to various PG courses offered by MAT. Candidates should have completed the age of 20 years in accordance with the graduate degree.
  • Number of Attempts: there is no limit on the number of attempts to apply for the MAT 2025. A candidate can apply as many times as they want to appear in the examination.
  • Appearing: Candidates who show up for the final exam will also be able to apply.
    MAT eligibility for foreign/ NRI students: Children of NRI/OCI/PIO, children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, and foreign nationals can also apply for admission through MAT exam score.

MAT 2025 Registration

In order to apply for the MBA entrance exam, the candidates must complete the registration process for MAT 2025. They can go to the official website mat.aima.in and fill the application form. (They can do so by visiting the official website mat.aima.in and filling the MAT application form.)

  1. Visit the official website.
  2. Select the MAT 2025 Registration link.
  3. Enter the email address and mobile number to obtain an OTP for verification.
  4. Log in to complete the registration process.
  5. Choose the exam mode, test city, and payment method, and provide other required details.
  6. Upload scanned copies of the resume, credentials, experience, and list of preferred management schools.
  7. Pay the online application fee and click the Submit button.
  8. Print a copy of the completed form and keep it for future reference.

  • There will be an online option for paying the registration cost.
  • There won’t be any other option accessible to submit the fee except online.
  • To pay the cost, options like net banking, credit cards, and debit cards will be offered.

MAT 2025 Exam Pattern

The MAT 2025 exam will follow the pattern described below:

  1. Test Mode: CBT (Computer Based Test), PBT (Paper Based Test), and IBT options will be available for candidates to take the test.
  2. Section: The exam will consist of a total of 5 portions, language and comprehension, mathematical skills, data analysis and sufficiency, intelligence and critical reasoning and Indian & global environment.
  3. Exam time allotment: The exam is conducted for 2 hours instead of 2.5 hours and the number of questions has been reduced to 150 from 200.
  4. Total Questions: There will be 150 questions in all in this paper.
  5. Types of Questions: The exam will consist of multiple choice questions, or MCQs.
  6. Marking system: Each right response will receive one mark.
  7. Negative marking: 0.25 points will be taken away for each incorrect response.

MAT 2025 Admit Card

The MAT 2025 admit card will be released online. The PBT exam will be available in the final week of February 2025, and the CBT exam will be available in the first week of March 2025. Candidates must log in with the email address and password to download it. Take a hard copy of the admit card at the exam venue. To download the admit card of MAT exam, candidates should follow the instructions below

MAT 2025 Answer Key

No official answer key will be released for MAT 2025. However, several institutes will provide their answer keys online, which can help candidates estimate their scores. Note that there will be no option to challenge these institutional answer keys.

MAT 2025 Result

The MAT 2025 results for the May session will be released in June 2025 for the PBT exam and July 2025 for the CBT exam. Results will be available on the AIMA website as a scorecard. How to check the MAT 2025 exam cutoff?

After the announcement of the MAT result for the session, candidates can access and download their MAT scorecard. For downloading the scorecard, candidates need to use their registered email ID and password on the official MAT website.
